Raleigh North Carolina First Birthday and Cake Smash Photographer | Baby Girl Thompson Turns ONE!

I just loved working with this family (mommy in particular) to pull this adorable cake smash photography session off for her daughters first birthday!! Her mommy did a great job at finding this mint tutu, chunky beaded necklace, crown and precious pink cake. I have always loved the green and pink color combinations, but I really love it for this particular red heads cake smash session!!!!

We were not sure of she was going to allow us to capture her session with the adorable first birthday crown that her mommy picked out… so we started with a little bow. That didn’t last long, actually it didn’t last long at all. Haha!

At first she wasn’t so sure about what was going on. She was a bit shy and timid. Her mommy said that she woke up first thing in the morning rather than sleeping in the way she always does… So perhaps that is where the quiet demeanor came from. But once she got her first little taste of sugar, she was good to go. She didn’t smash into it, rather she took her time and enjoyed every granular of sugar that touched her cute lips. And surprise!! She let us not only put the crown on her, she kept it on for the remainder of the cake smash!

She was so cute and dainty with this session, and oh so very serious too… Only giving us a glimpse of a smile once during her session. But she sure was cute! Here are just a couple more from her milestone first birthday photography session during her cake smash. I love every single picture!
