Family Photography Spotlight | The Burgess Family
This week’s family photography spotlight features the Burgess family! Many of my clients are repeat clients. I have been working with them year after year, for each important family milestone and then some. I call them my legacy clients. The Burgess family is one of my legacy clients. I have been photographing this family since their oldest daughter, Callie celebrated her first birthday. You can see her debut in this photo below.
Callie’s first birthday session was not only a cake smash session but a family photography session at Sugg Farm in Holly Springs. She started off shy and has grown to be a poser and so fun and easy to photograph since.
I was thrilled to hear back from this family again just a few months later to schedule Callie’s 2nd birthday photos as well as make an announcement that they were expecting another baby. It was at that time that Callie understood she was going to be promoted to big sister and she couldn’t wait for the arrival of this baby. The whole family was excited.
Then we all got to meet again when this little newborn baby girl, Aubrie, arrived. She looked so much like her big sister that I kept calling them by the wrong names. This certainly made it more challenging to photography the family photography session below. Haha! I loved the grey and yellow that mom picked out for the session.
Every family photography session includes photos of just mom and dad. These can be so fun.
Can I just say how much I appreciate dad in these sessions? His name is Joe. We ALL know that family photography sessions are not his favorite thing to do any day of the week. But every single time, he shows up, participates and makes to best of it. But let’s be real, these little girls keep Joe on his toes… and they are wrapped around his finger.
It has been so much fun working with the Burgess family, year after year.
