This fun racing cake smash was super fun. Not because Max smiled a ton, because HE DID NOT, but the simplicity and his rather apathetic demeanour around the whole thing. Yall, seriously, he didn’t smile.
His big brother, William, had his cake smash back in 2018. He made a mess with his blue frosted dinosaur cake. But just like his big brother did, he stared into the camera and we were able to get some great photos of his beautiful eyes.
This cute racing-themed banner was a great purchase by Maxwell’s mommy off of Etsy. Man, does Etsy have every single thing you can imagine or what? I had to peek over that the online Etsy shop where it was purchased and there are tons of banners to choose from. You can see more from the stores banners, here.
The cake for this racing cake smash was made by Wendy’s Confections & Cake Shop. In the last racing cake smash session I worked on, we used a checkered ribbon banner. This fondant checkered banner was perfect. I was a little nervous that the banner would start to fall apart when Max kept knocking the cake over, but it stayed together perfectly!
I can’t help but get lost in those beautiful eyes he has. You cannot yet tell what color they will be. They are blue, grey, green and even a little hazel. In every photo from this cake smash session I zoomed in and tried to see them even more. They are truly magical eyes. They are sure to charm someone for some candy in the future! Haha!
It’s kind of funny. Prior to every session, I have a consultation with my clients so they know what to expect. I always tell the parent, usually mommy, “your little one will send us cue’s as to when they are all done. They are usually about the same.” Well, this was his cue to us letting us know he was officially done. Right after this photo, he crawled off the setup.
If you have a little one getting ready to celebrate a first birthday, you can book your session online HERE.
