Raleigh NC 6 Month Baby Session – Sensory Play Photoshoot

It is so hard for me to believe that this big boy is six months already! Just six months ago he was being wrapped up with a New York Giants jersey for his newborn photography session. I was so happy when his mommy contacted me for six month photos! Just look at those big brown eyes and long gorgeous eyelashes! How can you not swoon over this little guy? Now to add, he had the cutest onsie that said “My Momma Don’t Like You and She Likes Everyone”.. Hahaha!!!

I may have needed to look that up and confirm myself, or I secretly listen to Justin after I drop my son off at school in the morning… 😉

When they first arrived, Matthew wasn’t feeling it… So mommy drove around in his car seat for a few minutes and came back with a happy baby! I never give up on my clients sessions! I love looking at the pictures knowing that it was all worth taking the extra time to get the photos right! I am so glad that Matthew decided to have so much fun!

 

Sensory Play Session

Sensory play can be divided into five classifications that, as you may have guessed, correspond to the senses: touch, sight, hearing, smell and taste.(PBS.ORG). Being that this stage becomes such a fun mess around six moths we incorporated it into his 6 month baby photoshoot. When mommy and I talked about doing his six month photos at his newborn session, we knew we were going to do something fun! After much research we chose food coloring and whipped cream!! He hardly ate any but enjoying seeing the different colors of whipped cream and squishing the new texture between his cute fingers. And guess what? mommy only had to clean up Matthew! 

 

*Before attempting using whipped cream, always make sure the baby does not have a dairy allergy. There are so many other options out there if you need another option*
