It completely blows my mind that it has been a year since I took this sweet angels newborn photos. A year ago she was able to fit into her daddy’s motorcycle hate. Today she wears it on her head. She can still sit in it, but it’s not as easy as it used to be. In fact, it’s easier for her to wear it on her own head! It was so fun to document how much she has grown with this little prop!

I always feel like I am the lucky one when capturing special family photos! This family is no exception to the rule. I worked with them for the first time when we shot their maternity photos here in Holly Springs, NC. It was a bit of a shock when mom contacted me to tell me it was time for lil’s 1st birthday pictures. It was even more of a shock during the session she told me her birthday was the day before our shoot!! Already ONE!!! You can tell that the love her mommy and daddy have for her is returned exponentially by her.

Although she decided to be serious for her 1st birthday photography session, she was still so cute and so very sweet. Being that we did her session in the morning, we knew we were impeding on nap time, so we worked against the clock to capture some special pictures. It was a beautiful morning outside and we were able to take full advantage of it. Then we were able to capture some more fun shots indoors before her actual cake smash session. I had just received a brand new backdrop that is gold and sparkly. I am so happy I got to use it and I am so glad that it was just a perfect fit for her style.
