The weather in Raleigh, NC has been quite unpredictable so far in 2017. It has been hard to determine if the temperature is going to be 60° or 90°, if it’s going to be sunny or pouring… so we are always making sure we prepare for both possibilities. This family maternity session is no exception. The weather held up and we were able to have a beautiful maternity session and it was comfortable for the soon to be big brother (which is so important).

I absolutely loved this beautiful, white, flowing cotton dress that mommy picked out for her maternity shoot. It made it very easy and comfortable to photograph mommy in. It reminded me so much of my maternity photography session almost 5 long years ago.

 

The neutral color of the dress allowed us to really focus on this mommy all while allowing the blues, being worn by daddy and soon-to-be big brother, to really pop against a dark rustic fences that line the fields at this beautiful location in Holly Springs, NC.

With the beautiful maternity session all wrapped up, it makes it easy to be very excited to meet the newest member of this growing family in just a few short weeks.
