Raleigh NC First Birthday Photographer | Sneak Peek

It’s so hard to believe that over a year ago I was taking this precious little things newborn photos. My, how fast the first year flies by.

 

Now this is her as a big ONE YEAR OLD diving, fork first into her first birthday cake smash session!!! And she still looks beautiful in pink.

Unfortunately, little miss was sick around her birthday and then we had some bad weather here in Raleigh NC that kept us from having the session right away. But we lucked out on a beautiful sunny morning for her session. Although it was pretty chilly, because of the wind, we were able to sit still and stay warm enough for some lovely family pictures and then some special snuggles with her mommy and her daddy. I have to say, it is pretty clear that this little girl has her grown daddy wrapped right around her little finger. And it is as precious as can be.

Cake Smash Photography Session

I always remind parents to not have any expectations for the cake smash portion of the first birthday photography session. There are some birthday babies that dive right into the cake and makes it difficult to even get that first shot. Then there’re other ones that take their time, Get accustomed to their environment, and then truly understand that it’s okay to make a mess. Then there are others that are more concerned with the texture. She was a prime example. She insisted on using a fork for her cake smash session. She really didn’t want to get dirty. But she did like to try and feed her daddy as much cake as he would tolerate. I will be the judge here and say that daddy ate more cake than she did! Hahaha!

I just loved how sweet and innocent she was. But I can say she had fun. By the time she was really getting into it, the session was over. Here ae just a  few more sneaks from her session.
