One of my favorite sessions is working with women to update their professional headshots. Whether she is starting a business, updating her branding, looking to diversify her client base, entering the workforce after having children, working to make a career change, or she just wants great photos to boost her confidence – we reach that goal.
Every client needs something different. As soon as potential headshot clients reach out to me, we immediately identify the need for the photos, how they will be used, and the message they are trying to convey to their target audience. We do this over the phone in a strategy consultation. In that consultation, we also talk about what she should wear, how she should prepare her skin, what she should bring, and what to expect. This way my client knows exactly what to expect and can let go of the stress and let the professional take over.
Great headshots include the right clothing, the right accessories, and great lighting. That said, outdoor sessions are only available during certain times of the day. Those times include the morning and later afternoon into the early evening. I also offer in-studio sessions that allow for some additional availability. In the studio headshot sessions, we use seamless paper as a backdrop. I have lots of colors to choose from. We decide on those colors prior to the session.

Through my years as a headshot photographer, I have found that most of the women I work with need feel so much better about themselves when they know what to expect. So I share my workflow with my headshot clients during the strategy call. This way my clients know the timeline and can ask any questions. After a consult, we feel like friends.
